From the 18th to the 22nd of February 2020, “Taste FRUITful Life” participated in Rørosmartnan or Røros Fair, an outstanding market founded back in 1853 per a royal decree, featuring around 400 vendors and drawing 75,000 visitors every winter to the UNESCO world heritage town of Røros. Following the tradition, the great market opens with a ceremonial arrival of over 80 horse-drawn sledges overloaded with the finest goods from Norway, Østerdalen, Gudbrandsdalen, Gauldalen, Hedmark, Selbu, and Tydal that have been travelling for two weeks towards Røros. With over than 400 participants and 75,000 visitors, throughout the 4-day event, the total outcome of the fair reflected the huge progress of the trade of traditional products and fruits all over Norway. During the fair, the visitors had the opportunity to try delicious fruits, simple dishes prepared by a professional chef at the “Taste FRUITful Life” stand in Martnashallen and get informed about the excellence of European fruit production as well as about the three-year campaign “Enjoy It’s from Europe” and its objectives.
